1 Introduction
Welcome to PlanItUp! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the PlanItUp mobile application and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using PlanItUp, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our Service.
PlanItUp is a planning and budgeting application that helps users organize events, projects, and tasks with optional AI-powered assistance. The Service is available both online and offline, with certain features requiring an active internet connection.
2 Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, downloading, installing, or using PlanItUp, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 years of age to use this Service. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use PlanItUp.
You represent and warrant that:
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
- All information you provide is accurate and current
- You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- You will not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
3 User Responsibilities
As a user of PlanItUp, you agree to:
- Account Security: Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

- Appropriate Use: Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
- Content Ownership: Ensure you have the right to share any content you upload or create within the app
- Collaboration Etiquette: When sharing plans with others, respect their contributions and privacy
- Prohibited Activities: Not engage in any activity that could harm, disable, or impair the Service
Note: You are solely responsible for the content you create and share within PlanItUp. We are not liable for any data loss due to device issues, uninstallation, or failure to sync.
4 Data Usage and Storage
PlanItUp processes and stores your data to provide you with the best possible service:
- Local Storage: Data is stored locally on your device for offline access
- Cloud Sync: When connected to the internet, your data syncs to our secure servers for backup and multi-device access
- Shared Plans: Data in shared plans is accessible to all invited collaborators
- Data Retention: We retain your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services
- Backups: We maintain regular backups, but recommend you also maintain your own backups of critical information

5 AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
PlanItUp offers optional AI-powered features to assist with planning, budgeting, and task suggestions. Please note:
- Suggestions Only: AI-generated content is provided as suggestions and recommendations, not as professional advice
- No Guarantees: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content
- User Discretion: You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI suggestions before implementation
- Not Financial Advice: Budget recommendations are informational only and should not be considered financial advice
- Human Oversight: Always exercise your own judgment when making decisions based on AI suggestions
Important: For significant financial decisions or professional projects, we recommend consulting with qualified professionals in the relevant field.
6 Subscription and Payment
PlanItUp offers both free and premium subscription options:
Free Plan
The free plan includes basic features with limitations on the number of active plans, collaborators, and access to certain features.
Premium Plan
- Billing: Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through your app store account (Apple App Store or Google Play Store)
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Pricing: Subscription prices are displayed in the app and may vary by region
- Free Trial: New users may be eligible for a free trial period. You will be charged after the trial ends unless you cancel before then
- Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account settings
- Refunds: Refunds are handled according to the app store's refund policy
Note: If you cancel your Premium subscription, you will continue to have access to Premium features until the end of your billing period, after which your account will revert to the free plan.
7 Account Deletion
You have the right to delete your account at any time:
- Self-Service: You can delete your account directly from the app settings
- Data Removal: Upon deletion, your personal data and plans will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days
- Backup Retention: Some data may persist in backup systems for up to 90 days for recovery purposes
- Shared Plans: Your contributions to shared plans may remain visible to other collaborators unless manually removed
- Irreversible: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
- Subscription Cancellation: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Please cancel through your app store first

8 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- PlanItUp and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- We provide the Service "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
- We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- We are not responsible for any financial losses resulting from reliance on budget calculations or AI suggestions
- We are not liable for data loss due to device malfunction, deletion, or failure to sync
- Our total liability for any claims related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability. In such cases, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
9 Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Notify you through the app or via email for significant changes
- Provide you with reasonable notice before the changes take effect
Your continued use of PlanItUp after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should discontinue use of the Service and delete your account.
